Cargo Vans FAQs

Do your vans come with shelving already installed?

Many do - Adrian Steel shelving and bin packages through J.C. Madigan. We also stock vans without shelving for businesses that need a specific layout; ask us for upfit recommendations.

Is the shelving covered by the Chevrolet warranty?

Chevrolet notes that equipment from independent suppliers is not covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Shelving is covered by its maker - for Adrian Steel packages, Adrian Steel. The van itself keeps its Chevrolet coverage.

Express 2500 or 3500?

The difference is mostly payload: up to 3,280 lbs on the 2500 and 4,280 lbs on the 3500, on the same wheelbases and engines. Shelving, stock and a passenger add up faster than most buyers expect, so weigh what you carry before you choose.

Do I need the V8?

Only if you tow. The standard 4.3L V6 handles a shelved van on a service route well. The 6.6L V8 is what unlocks the 9,600 lb trailering rating.

Program benefits and incentives are set by the manufacturer and are subject to change and eligibility. Business Choice allowances apply to eligible Chevrolet Accessories, vehicles and business customers only. Equipment from independent suppliers is not covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty. GM is not responsible for the safety or quality of independent supplier alterations. Towing, payload and GVWR figures are maximums for properly equipped vehicles; ratings for a specific vehicle depend on its configuration. Tax information is general - consult your tax advisor.
